Ryan + Lindsey {Wedding}…

I have been excited to post about this wedding ever since I learned the story of Ryan and Lindsey, back when Lindsey applied for my mothers day photoshoot give away. So, when they booked me for their wedding I was beyond excited! Let me tell you, at the wedding, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

In the words of Lindsey….

When You Wish Upon a Star…….

I became a mother almost six years ago. Her name is Emily and the name stands for Every Minute I Love You. Shortly after her first birthday her father and I went our separate ways. The next four years she was being raised by single parents who lived 40 miles apart. Her days were spent going back and forth from mom to dad and back again.

When she was three she started wishing on shooting stars. Her wish? That her mommy and daddy would live together as a family so that she didn’t have to go back and forth anymore. Talk about melting someone’s heart. Last January, I called her father to ask if he wanted to go with us to let Emily see the snow for the first time. He agreed and we all spent the day building snowmen and have snowball fights. If you drove past us you might have thought we were a picturesque family. After a few months of all the old feelings coming back her father and I made the decision to get back together. The next big step? Telling Emily. While out to dinner to celebrate our little girl’s graduation from Pre-K we broke the news. I will never forget the smile that spread across her face or the uncontrollable fits of laughter that she had once she realized that her wish was coming true. In July, we packed up our separate houses and moved to be in one household as a family. This past Christmas Eve, Ryan proposed to me. We are one step closer. The reason why I am entering this contest is to show my daughter that dreams really do come true.

It was an absolute honor to capture your special day!
