Shooting a wedding with some of the best wedding vendors can make for such a beautiful day! Weddings are usually really stressful, but when you have an awesome coordinator on your side, the days runs smoothly and virtually stress free! Thanks Molly (Tres Chic Affairs). I was joined by a rock star of a second shooter, Sydney Morgan, who helped me not miss a beat of this detailed filled day.
The grooms father performed their Greek Orthodox ceremony, which took place in a newly renovated church (St Gabriels in Poway) that was made to look like one of the many beautiful old missions in San Diego CA. Becky really wanted the day to reflect this old California rustic mission feel. Did you know we took their engagement photos at a California mission too?
Bethany (Splendid Sentiments) created beautiful bouquets filled with succulents, astilbe and beautiful coral roses that complimented the adobe color of California missions and photographed beautifully outside the church.
Overlooking Orfila Winery’s vineyard in San Diego, the tent was filled with Farm Tables, soft off white linens and lace. At each place setting was a custom calligraphy menu (Angelique Ink) and floral arrangement were set in various jars, vases and goblets. Table numbers were created out of old book pages and framed next to stacks of some of the couple’s favorite vintage books to tie in their love of literature. One of my favorites parts of the reception was the family table, which the mother of the bride created; full of family heirlooms, photos, quilts and a hand drawn family tree. For desserts Hey there Cupcake provided brownies and a mini brownie cake with a Russian nesting doll Bride and Groom as a cake topper. Too cute!
