I was so honored to photograph Faiths newborn session! This little girl is a true miracle! I cannot think about Faiths story with out getting choked up! Chelsea and Gregs first baby Regan was born at 32 weeks, with a disease called Hydrops (a disease that causes fluid to build up inside the body and not allowing organs to properly develop). Regan fought hard for 22 hours and then grew her angel wings. Trying so desperately to heal after this awful situation, Chelsea and Greg managed to get pregnant again 6 months later. Knowing they only had a 1% chance of their baby having Hydrops, they were excited, but still cautious. At 25 weeks, a punch in the stomach, they found out Faith had they same problem. These two were crushed, but never lost faith! I mean wow, what a test of reliance on God and patience. At 29 weeks, seeing an increased mount of fluid around faiths lungs, they made the decision to deliver her early so it wouldn’t get worse. From that point on, it was only uphill for this little fighter! The chances Faith would survivor were so slim, but she never gave up; she got stronger everyday. She is now almost 8 months and past any point of concern! Her name is testament to what the Lord can do it you put your Faith and trust in him!
Below is a sweet letter written by Mama Chelsea to BabyFaith… FYI, you will probably tear up!
Faithy girl-
My sweet sweet girl, how will I ever put into words how much I love you, for you are after all my rainbow after the storm. Your story is unlike most, you arrived 10 weeks early and we weren’t given much hope, but day after day you proved us all wrong, you taught us all to have Faith! You now are the sweetest happiest baby and we kiss you and tell you how much we love you a million times a day. Every night mommy prays over you while you sleep, I thank god for my precious miracle and that he watch over and protect you always.
May you grow to know you are a child of god, and he has wonderful things in store for you and mommy and daddy can’t wait to witness it!
Love you forever and always,
Mama
