Since it’s Nurses Week I thought I would celebrate a couple of fabulous nurses I recently shot here in San Diego! Brian and Katie are the sweetest couple and someone I would want taking care of me if needed a nurse! When we first met Brian had mentioned he always sees couples take engagement photos at the beach and they always look the same. He wanted something unique and fresh. (Yay someone who wanted something different) Immediately I knew I would have fun with them! He asked if I would mind shooting in Julian (side note about photographers: we are almost always up for something new!). I was secretly hoping to get at least one snow shot. So on a very cold day, we drove up to Julian for a fun engagement session! We headed down Main Street and stopped in front of some cute, colorful shops, rustic fences and, of course, filled our bellies with famous Julian apple pie and coffee. Once we were warm and full, we went searching for snow, which we eventually found on the side of a nearby road. Yay! Brian and Katie frolicked in the leaves, played in the snow and then snuggled up in a blanket, all of which made for some great shots! On the way back we found a large field to stop in for a few more shots before the last of the light escaped. This couldn’t have been a more perfect engagement session!
