I get a call from Brittany, my amazing makeup artist, but i was at dinner with a friend so i sent it to voice mail, before Brittany is even done leaving a voice mail telling me i may get a call from a bride who actually already got married, but had a horrible experience and hated her photos…. My phone rings again since i don’t recognize the number and i am out at dinner i send it to voice mail too. What do you know, it’s Jessica the bride Brittany was just saying might call me. I listen to this panic stricken voice mail…. Jessica hated her hair and her makeup the day of her wedding and didn’t feel like herself and didn’t like how she would look in any of her photos. So she was looking for someone on short notice to go down to the US Grant, where they had gotten married, for a re-shoot. They wanted to get photos in their wedding attire, but that same night was their military ball, so they wanted some shots in her gown and Brad in his Dress Blues.
The feedback i got from these two during the shoot made was great. I always love hearing Bride and Grooms telling me they are having fun taking their pictures and with Brad and Jessica, they kept saying “oh wow our other photographer didn’t do anything like this” and “oh i love this”. It makes me feel like i am doing something right! I was so excited about these photos i went home and edited them all in the same night and sent them right off to Jessica and Brad. They were beyond thrilled. Jessica said they were up until 2:30am looking through all the pictures and they were so impressed and SO happy with the outcome and i they wished i was their photographer originally!
I was am so excited i could recreate such an important day! And now they have photos they will treasure!
