Heather’s story could inspire Nicolas Sparks to write a novel!
If you have tuned into my blog or know Heather, then you know her story. With yesterday being Memorial Day, Heather was on my heart. Memorial Day doesn’t only honor the fallen soldiers but also the family members waiting at home for them. When I first met Heather, a few years ago, her family was going through a very difficult time. She had just lost her husband and the father of her two adorable boys, Cade (1 year old) and Cole (3 years old), while deployed in Afghanistan. Today, A few years have passed and Heather has begun to heal. She has not forgotten Brandon’s memory, I am sure she sees him every time she looks into her sons eyes, but she has been given the gift of love once again!
Heather has met an amazing man, Tommy, with a son of his own, Aiden, 2 years old. Cade and Cole are now 3 and 5 years old. But wait there is more….. Heather and Tommy are having a baby and if you can imagine, it’s another boy! The boys couldn’t be happier to have more brothers either!
I photographed this new little family when Heather was only a few months along and so adorable. This new little unit is so cute together and there is such a change in Cade and Cole’s personalities from the first time I photographed them a few years back. They seem so much happier now, as does Heather! Heather wanted to shoot a maternity portrait session so we waited until about 36 weeks, when she was showing the most and met up in Fallbrook to photograph her growing belly! It was so sweet seeing Tommy interact with her belly and Heather was glowing! Before I knew it, little Trey was here and in my studio for his newborn session. Tommy, being a firefighter and a hockey dad, brought some great props for us to place little Trey in!
I am so glad for all the happiness that has been brought to this family! They deserve every bit of it! I’m so delighted that this story has a happy ending! If you have the need for Fallbrook photography, please send me an email or feel free to call.
